Oakmont residents are invited to a Town Hall presentation by District 12 Assemblymember Damon Connolly on Friday, June 13, at 3:30 p.m. at the Berger Center. The event will also be streamed via Zoom. Assemblymember Connolly will discuss California’s strategies for wildfire mitigation, climate resilience, and other critical issues shaping the state’s future.
Representing Marin County and southern Sonoma County, Assemblymember Connolly was recently appointed Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Wildfire Prevention. This committee focuses on key aspects of wildfire prevention and resilience, including infrastructure improvements, home hardening, defensible space, and community preparedness.
“In recent years, Californians have faced devastating losses from increasingly frequent and intense wildfires,” said Assemblymember Connolly. “I look forward to leading this committee with urgency, transparency, and a deep sense of responsibility to harden our communities against wildfire and protect our natural resources for generations to come.”
The Town Hall will include a Q&A session, offering attendees the chance to engage directly with Assemblymember Connolly on the timely topic of wildfire mitigation and preparedness in our region.
