Powering On the System
Projector Power Panel
This corner near the entrance of the room contains the Zoom Room Controller, the projector power, and wall-mount storage for remotes, cables, and other equipment.
Begin by pressing the green button on the projector power panel.
The adjacent light should illuminate green once power is available to the projector.
This light will stay on until 9 p.m., there is no way to manually turn it off.
Two remotes are available in the wall-mounted storage underneath the projector power panel.
Use Screen Remote to Lower Screen
One remote is used to turn on the projector itself, and the other remote is used to lower the projector-screen. This is a demonstration of the projector-screen being lowered:
Use Projector Remote to Power on Projector
The power button on the projector remote is somewhat faulty. At times it works fine, other times it takes multiple presses of the power button, and sometimes it will not work at all.
If the remote is not working for you, please contact OVA’s Maintenance Team for assistance turning on the projector. If you are tall enough, the remote may be used to press the power button on the projector itself, but please do not stand on a chair to press the power button:
Connecting to the Projector with an HDMI Cable
Once the projector is on, you will usually see the Zoom Rooms screen display.
Connect HDMI Cable Between Device and Wall
Use an HDMI cable to connect your device to the HDMI port in the wall to the right of the projector screen.
Change the projector’s source, if needed.
The projector is connected to two different sources:
- Zoom Room: The projector will usually default to this source. This means that when you initially turn on the projector, you will usually see the “Open the Zoom Room Controller app on this facility’s iPad to get started” message.
