It’s here! Drop by the Central Activities Center for Oakmont’s new, state-of-the-art espresso machine. This espresso machine produces top-quality, made-to-order coffee concoctions in less than a minute, and for a nominal $3.00 (credit card or cash). Desire an espresso, cappuccino, or latte made just the way you like it? Our new addition is affordable for everyone and available during the entire time the CAC is open. Additional tables and chairs have been set up as another place to relax, meet a friend, and enjoy a cup of fresh brew.

Bringing this treasure to Oakmont is the brainchild of retired Chef Karl Turner. When the Oakmont community came together to discuss what Oakmonters wanted, one of the most frequently mentioned items on the wish list was a common area. Karl was part of the café/common area subcommittee that resulted from the 2030 discussions, and as a former executive chef of five-star hotels, he knew the intrinsic camaraderie that comes from sharing refreshments—and that’s how this achievement began.
