All facilities in the Central Rec Center close at 7:00 PM on Tuesdays for deep cleaning.

The Central Activity Complex offers meeting/card rooms, a fitness center, pool and spa and a library. An outdoor patio area, as well as a lobby seating area, are popular destinations for friends to gather. The Oakmont Lawn Bowling facility is adjacent to the main building, and pétanque and shuffleboard courts are a short walk away, near the Oakmont Village Association administration offices.

The Central Activities Center building includes an honor-system library with hundreds of books, magazines, DVDs and puzzles, a Technology Learning Center, an Arts and Crafts room, where art seminars and live model classes are held, and a card and game room. The Fitness Center has state-of-the-art equipment, an available trainer and a separate weight room area. A meeting room is available and can be reserved by clubs via the OVA office.

The Central Activity pool accommodates casual and lap swimmers and is maintained at a temperature appropriate for those activities. Children under 17 accompanied by a member are welcome in the Central pool in accordance with pool policy, hours and rules. No children are allowed in the spa. Children in diapers of any kind are not allowed in the pool.
